My parents always say I ran before I walked and that I sang before I talked.
They're right. I’ve been singing as long as I can remember, from musicals with my ducks in the bath to releasing my first EP and hearing my songs being played on the radio. My music comes from my heart - it is quite literally a manifestation of who I am. I write as a way to say the words that are too difficult for me to express without crying, screaming and throwing up. Music helps me understand myself.
I have always been a bit, (ok a lot!), of a drama queen. Around 10 I started acting. Having opportunities to be part of the amazing creativity of UK Indie film, I’ll forever be grateful for those magical experiences (but don’t be fooled by the glamour - there’s more hard work than you think lol). While I’m fond of those times, I’m so excited to write my own story now with my music instead of playing someone else's characters on screen. I write music for my fellow teenagers and for people who used to be teenagers, I write songs for anyone who’s ever been in love - or wanted to be. I hope you find a piece of yourself in my music, because I know I found a massive chunk of myself in it.
